Your memories of Spurs away?
I've got two stand outs. Ian Pearce's last min 25 yard equaliser in 2002:

And

Ian Wright and Marc Keller scoring in about 1999 in a 2-1 win.

My first away game in 1987 around boxing day as a lad of 10 with my dad, we lost 1-0 to a Chris Waddle free kick. I then went in around 1996 and we won 1-0 but I was in the Spurs seats with a Uni pal who was a yid. Dani to Portugese pin up scored.

My first time tottenham away when we beat them in the cup last year! Had to convince my old man to go as he felt we were going to get embarrased.

Will live long in the memory that game. Maiga is forever etched into my top favourite west ham players just for that goal

My first away game, 1971, Clyde Best winner.

Massive row in the Paxton Lane end, just after half time.

We won that, an all.

I was towards the right hand side towards the shelf and remember the coppers helmet flying about. The surge when West Ham first steamed in was unbelievable. If my memory serves me right, one West Ham fan in the seats stood up and started singing bubbles, they all just looked up as though it was some lone nutter and didn't realise that it may have been a signal to the fans to go for it.

Maybe I read too much into it but it seemed as soon as he done that it went absolutely crazy. They really didn't know what had hit them. Spoke with a few Tottenham fans the next day and they said they hadn't seen anything like that for years but they also said that the shelf had a load of women and kids in there so it was out of order.

Taking the Paxton Road end in the 70s and watching more of our mob running riot on the shelf

Re: Your memories of Spurs away?

3-0 to the yids, Lineker hat-trick. We was battered on the pitch but fuck me, West Ham had an absolutely huge firm and went into the shelf and cleared about quarter of it in about 5 minutes.

Absolute bedlam that night, they got ruined all over the place but even back then started getting all brave when the old bill moved in. I reckon there must have been 7000 West Ham that night.

Mental night... we had a great view of the Shelf... must of been about 4 pockets of West ham in tehre.. as one Bubbles went up another one started about 20 meters away or so... they got smashed everywhere that night... the old Bill and Stewards didn't do too well in our bit either... I think we was playing piggy in the middle with a coppers helmet for about the last half hour... far more entertaining than the football.... to be fair that place WHU have always taken the piss.. 83,87,88 (cup game) all absolute piss takes... but that 92 game was an absolute annihilation for them

PEEEEAAAAARRRRCCEEE 2002 equaliser

Was in the away end not looking forward to meeting up with my spurs mates after the game and getting ribbed i know it was only a draw but the goal came from nowhere never seen west ham fans go so mental

when we lost 3-0 in 1992 Lineker hatrick we were pony 3-0 at halftime, it was kicking off everywhere in the ground at one point some of our fans piled into the spurs end and the game was halted as all the spurs supporters ran on to the pitch loads of fighting after the game aswell around seven sisters

Re: Your memories of Spurs away?
Always remember walking about around there like it was a home game.
Remember one early kick off mid eighties walking past that corner pin to the away end and loads of thier "firm" started following us with a view to jumping us.
They were grown men in their twenties/thirties we were teenage schoolboys.
Shows what they are made of.

Re: Your memories of Spurs away?
We used to get a few wins there in the 90s still as we also did at Arsenal and Chelsea... They're all fucking miles and miles ahead of us now and so they're a rarity now...

The two wins there last year were great but I only went to the League Cup one - don't remember much as I was pissed as a fart...

Best win there in my life-time must've been the 4-1 victory in '94 - although I didn't go as I was way off drinking age and my Dad didn't want me spoiling his huge piss-up with his mates...
